Fieldwork and Internships

Public Health majors complete 600 hours of fieldwork in their senior year. Over the course of two fieldwork placements, you will apply the theories and techniques you have learned to real-world scenarios, and prepare to launch your career.

Students have access to placements at more than 175 community partners in Philadelphia and its surrounding counties. These partners include government institutions, healthcare systems, nonprofit or community health organizations, public health agencies, and social services agencies.

Our faculty and staff members will help you identify a placement site that matches your professional goals and interests, and during your placement you will develop relationships with your placement site through hands-on work and guidance.
