How to Apply
- Create an account and start your application by selecting Fox School of Business (FSOB) as your school of choice in the online application portal. You will be asked to upload a statement of goals, a current resume and copies of your academic transcripts and enter recommender details within the application form.
- Submit your application.
- Pay the $60 application fee.
Once submitted with payment, the admissions team reviews your application. They may request additional materials if required. You will receive an email notification once the application is complete.
In addition to a completed application, prospective students must also supply the following supporting materials.
Application Requirements
- Résumé: A current professional résumé is required.
- Transcripts: Temple University requires transcripts from each academic institution from which you earned credit for coursework. Copies of transcripts may be used during the admissions process; however, Temple University requires officials of any admitted student. Additional documentation may be required for non-US academic institutions, such as marksheet and diploma. For such institutions, please review these guidelines from Temple University’s Graduate School.
- Letters of Recommendation: One letter of recommendation is required. Professional references from an immediate supervisor, current or past, are preferred. Academic references are acceptable. Within the application, enter your reference’s contact information. References are then invited to upload their letters of recommendation. We encourage you to submit your application while waiting for recommendations to be completed.
- Essay: The essay should address the applicant’s goals and motivations for pursuing the PhD degree, as well as detail his or her general areas of research interest.
- Standardized Test Scores: The GMAT or GRE is required. Official scores must be reported from a GMAT or GRE test taken within the last five years. Student scores must be in the 90th percentile or above on the GMAT. For applicants whose native language is not English, the TOEFL, IELTS or PTE Academic exam is required.
- Interview: Candidates may be interviewed after submission of their application. Interviews may occur in person or through video conference. If an interview is scheduled, on-site interviews are strongly recommended so that applicants can visit Temple University and the Fox School to tour the facilities and meet the PhD faculty.
Admissions Deadlines
