Drug Delivery MS Curriculum
Please note that non-thesis MS students take 6 hours of electives in addition to the core courses. Thesis MS students substitute master’s thesis research hours for the elective courses. The thesis MS program is highly competitive and only a limited number of students will be admitted each year.
MS in Drug Delivery (Thesis or Non-thesis): 30 credit hours
Fall semester
- Topics in Pharmaceutical Sciences (3 credits)
- Pharmaceutical Analysis (3 credits)
- Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences Seminar Series (1 credit)
- Principles in Drug Discovery (3 credits)
- Bioethics in Research (3 credits)
- Advanced Pharmacogenomics (2 credits)
Spring semester
- Pharmaceutical Manufacturing I: Pre-formulation/Formulation (3 credits)
- Solid Dosage Forms – Small Molecules (3 credits)
- Pharmacokinetics (3 credits)
- Thesis Research or elective courses (6 hours)
Elective courses are chosen from a variety of subjects, including pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biology, pharmacology and biochemistry, among many others.
