Institutional Effectiveness Certificate

Become a positive force for change in today’s institutions of higher education by developing the skills needed to make data-driven policy decisions in education and analyze student success. With the Institutional Effectiveness Certificate from Temple University’s College of Education and Human Development, you will learn how to use predictive analytics to lead post-secondary institutions into the future.

The Institutional Effectiveness Certificate can also serve as a pathway to the MEd in Higher Education.

Curriculum

You must complete 12 credit hours (four courses) in order to earn this certificate. Topics covered in the curriculum include

  • organizational assessment, design and strategy;
  • research methods; and 
  • statistics.

Delivery Method 

All courses are delivered in the classroom on Temple’s Main Campus in Philadelphia. You can enroll part- or full-time and have up to two years to complete the certificate program.

Voluntary Internships

Internships give you opportunities to get hands-on experience, refine your understanding of your coursework and make professional contacts who can assist your future career development. Internships are voluntary experiences that take place outside of the program curriculum: students do not receive credit for internships.

In keeping with Temple’s commitment to access and affordability, this Graduate Certificate offers a competitive level of tuition with multiple opportunities for financial support.

Tuition rates are set annually by the university and are affected by multiple factors, including program degree level (undergraduate or graduate), course load (full- or part-time), in-state or out-of-state residency, and more. These tuition costs apply to the 2024–2025 academic year.

Pennsylvania resident: $1,105.00 per credit
Out-of-state: $1,518.00 per credit
