Professional Development

In addition to taking the required subjects for their degrees, all Piano Performance/Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music MM students are obligated to serve in a number of capacities in order to enrich their academic and musical expertise.

Among the duties that may be required are

• accompanying,
• coaching,
• conducting laboratory classes,
• participating in ensembles,
• participating in the distribution and inventory control of Temple University-owned musical instruments and instructional materials,
• performing at admissions and open house events,
• supervising performance classes,
• teaching private lessons, and
• tutoring.

Private Lessons & Guest Performers

Weekly private lessons are reinforced by regular performance classes and a series of master classes taught by faculty members and guest artists.
