Careers

The Bachelor of Science in Education in Career and Technical Education is designed to help you develop the qualifications to teach in a variety of educational settings, including public elementary and secondary schools, community colleges, training centers, workplace learning or corporate training programs, and more.

Fieldwork

All College of Education and Human Development majors must complete field experiences to practice working with children, adolescents or adults in classrooms, training centers or community organizations.

Education majors will observe a professional teacher’s instructional and classroom management methods. The Office of Field Placement helps students find appropriate classroom assignments.

Voluntary Internships

Internships give you opportunities to get hands-on experience, refine your understanding of your coursework and make professional contacts who can assist your future career development. Internships are voluntary experiences that take place outside of the program curriculum: students do not receive credit for internships.
