The Statistics PhD program is dedicated to producing well-trained statisticians who work as researchers in academia, industry and government. In recent years, more than half of graduates from the Statistics PhD program found employment as statisticians in the pharmaceutical industry or within medical research organizations. Graduates of the doctoral program in statistics are prepared for professional roles as statisticians in the fields of biostatics, operations research or statistics.
Graduates have accepted positions at corporations such as
